WAI Fm (formerly FM101.3 - Radio Ta)

WAI Fm formerly FM101.3 is the latest stereo radio network broadcast in Sarawak. It is wholely owned by Radio TV Malaysia.

It is the only FM station in Sarawak that fully broadcast in three main natives languages of Sarawak, mainly Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu community.

It broadcast from Headquarters in Kuching to areas from south to the north region of Sarawak.

Its broadcast starts from 0600hrs to 2400hrs.

0600-0900  Iban  -  frequency 101.3 fm  (statewide)

0900-1200  Bidayuh (Yun Ngan Di Arun)  - frequency 101.3 fm (Kuching Division only)

1200-1500  Iban  - frequency 101.3 fm (Kuching only)

1500-1800  Kayan Kenyah  - frequency 101.3 fm (Kuching only - relayed by Miri Fm)

1800-2100  Bidayuh (Nganchang Putue') - frequency  MW549Khz and SW7270Khz shortwave

1800-2100  Iban  -  frequency  101.3 fm

2100-2400  Bidayuh (Ngarum Pawun)   - frequency  101.3 fm (Kuching, Samarahan, Bau and Lundu only)

2100-2400 Iban  - frequency MW549Khz and SW7270Khz shortwave

WAI Fm 101.3fm  is the only station that is able to reach the interior parts of Sarawak including Brunei that could not be reach by the media print and other Radio broadcast thus having the most total of listeners than any other radio stations/transmissions in Sarawak.

WAI Fm 101.3fm can also be heard by villages (Kampongs) in Kalimantan Barat nearby the boarders.

Type WAI (space) name, address, message for Iban, WAIB (space) name, address, message for Bidayuh and WAIKK (space) name, address, message for Kayan Kenyah.

Messages must be written all in respective languages. Messages written mixed with English may not be read by Deejays on duty.

REBRANDING OF RTM RADIO STATIONS

Recently the Director-General of Broadcasting Datuk Haji Abdul Rahman Hamid said RTM's radio stations nationwide will undergo a rebranding exercise this year. He said April 1st had been proposed for launching the exercise to coincide with RTM's 59th Anniversary. The rebranding exercise will include giving new names for all RTM's radio stations in the country. Once rebranded, RTM's radio stations will sound as good as new with new programs, new tag-line, new teasers and more. FM101.3 will also be rebranded. Thanks for your support. RTM's radio stations will be back on track because of your support.
